St. Ignatius Church in Kowloon renewed

Categories: Uncategorized

If you have the opportunity to go to our Kowloon Wah Yan College, do not miss visiting the recently renewed St. Ignatius Church! Cardinal Zen has been there three times already, in particular to bless the beautiful (“real size”) baptismal pool.

There are many Ignatian symbols and paintings that make Jesuits feel at home in the church and bring them into contact with our long spiritual tradition. There are also, incrusted in the floor, several oriental “mystical” designs that invite you to reach into deeper layers of the soul. All these will be posted on the website www.wyk.edu.hk.

The Kowloon Wah Yan residence has recently welcome Fr. Joseph Yu, who is beginning the study of Cantonese, and who will continue his effort at evangelization through painting, a method that former Jesuit missionaries have used with great effect.
