In mid-July, Fr Felipe Bacalso paid a short visit during his home visitation in the Philippines and did not forget to leave some jokes. Some more next time, he promised. Salamat po, Padre Felipe! On July 16, Fr Aldrich Louis, the former Dean of Fu Jen theologate visited and though he was quite busy, he gave a talk on evangelization and some topics on Long Distance Learning of Fu Jen theologate. We do wish him well and full of blessing as he began his new ministry. In mid-September, Uncle Jerry Martinson shared the great production of Xu Guang Qi, and presented some very inspiring experience of lay collaboration and Jesuit community life. He hopes that some of us will follow his journey one day. Thank you uncle Jerry. We will continue to pray for your next fruit-Tang Ruo Wang.

On September 28 Typhoon Milenyo visited the campus and classes were called off for three days. Branches were torn like paper and many trees were uprooted. We also pray for the victims of the typhoon.

Faber House, the place previously occupied by the theologians, was returned to the Philippine Province.

Fr Martin Suhartono Sanjoyo decided to continue his spiritual journey with the Carthusians. He left Arrupe on November 1. While waiting for a new rector to be appointed, Fr Fumiaki Momose agrees to hold the fort as a caretaker. Sch Plinio Martins leaves November 4 for a brief visit to East Timor. He will proceed to Australia to continue his theological studies there.
