Programs and Courses at EAPI

Ongoing Pastoral Renewal Program

The ongoing Pastoral Renewal Program, which began in June, is practically on its last month. With 71 participants coming from 22 different countries of Asia and the Pacific, the program has branched out to two sub-courses on Contextualizing Theological Perspectives (CTP) and Exploring Pastoral Approaches (EPA). The program will end with an 8-day retreat with Fr Sebastian Painadath from India.

For the week of November 6-10, Fr. Dionisio Miranda, SVD lectured on Contemporary Moral Issues for CTP. The participants of EPA were coming and going daily to St. Paul’s University in Quezon City for their module on Pastoral Approach to Media, with Sr. Sarah Manapol and Mr. Bernard Canaberal as the facilitators. The following weeks of November 13-24, Fr Mark Koo began the plenary sessions on Liturgy: Symbols and Sacraments and Fr Christopher O’Leary, OMI would continue and complete the sessions. For the week of November 27-December 1, Fr Jeyaraj Rasiah gave his lecture on Complementary Spiritualities of the East and West.
