In Cambodia
Fr Stepanus Winarto (IDO) and Sch Mark Lopez (PHI) joined the Cambodia Mission this May. Fr Panus has just finished his Tertianship in Manila. Sch Mark will be doing his Regency. Initially, both of them are having a three-week exposure to the various Jesuit mission areas. Afterwards, both of them will study Khmer for three months in Battambang, before being given their work assignments.
Fr Joaqui Salord (TAR) returned to Cambodia on May 15 from his sabbatical in Spain. He was much refreshed by the chance to rest and by a new Ignatian sprituality course he attended from February – March 2009. Entitled “Refresher course in Ignatian Sprituality”, the course was held in the Manresa House, Spain. The two-month course, which finishes with an eight-day retreat, was the first of its kind to be conducted. Initially in Spanish, there are plans to offer it in English by next year.
