Theological reflection focuses on Islam

Categories: Uncategorized

To promote a Jesuit's capacity to enter into dialogue with Muslims, the Conference has set up a new program, the Asia Pacific Theological Encounter Program on Islam.

Young Jesuits from various backgrounds will discuss and reflect, within the framework of Asian realities, on topics and themes focused on Islam as it is lived in a particular context. It will take place in Indonesia, as it is the home to the world's largest Muslim population.  Ten to fifteen Jesuits, who have at least having finished a year of theological studies, can be accommodated. The program will run for four weeks, January 5 – February 2, 2011. Contact Fr Heru Prakosa (IDO) for information.
