Fr Saichon Khanyulai (TAI) is returning to Bangkok on August 24 from tertianship. While waiting for is next assignment, he will be residing at Xavier Hall. Fr John Shea (NYK) will be moving to his new assignment at Sophia University, Tokyo, Japan, on August 23. In his email to the Region, John wrote, “Thanks for all the support and companionship these last five years. I will be returning once a year to Thailand for the EATEP (East Asian Theological Encounter Program).” Actually, it is the Region who must thank John, for the 5 years he has been part of our community and works. Thank you, John, for the friendship and life that you have brought.

And may the Lord bless you and all the people you will touch in your new assignment. Fr Puspobinatmo (TAI) will be leaving for tertianship in Manila, at the end of August. Before that, he will attend the Jesuit Spirituality workshop in Australia for one week. We wish Puspo blessings and safe journeys on both ventures. Fr Vichai Boonlue (TAI) will be taking a “mini-sabbatical” during the month of October. He will go to Guelph, Ontario, Canada, and join the 40 day program of the Spiritual Exercises – which includes the days of introduction and preparation, the 30-Day Exercises of St. Ignatius, and a week of review at the end.
