Who we are

The Jesuit Conference of Asia Pacific coordinates and facilitates the mission of the Jesuits in 17 countries in Asia and the Pacific, and comprises seven Jesuit provinces – Australia, Chinese (China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan), Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Philippines and Vietnam; four Jesuit regions – Malaysia-Singapore, Myanmar, Thailand and Timor-Leste; and two Jesuit missions – Cambodia and Pakistan. How we collect data

We collect information directly in the following ways:

  • When you sign up to receive email updates, newsletters, and other updates
  • When you subscribe to or purchase one of our publications
  • When you make a donation
  • When you ask to volunteer

We also collect information about the online services you use and how you use them, such as when you open or click a link in one of our e-newsletters, watch a video on YouTube, visit our websites or view and interact with our Facebook, X, and Instagram pages.

We will mainly use your data to:

  • Provide you with news and updates via our e-newsletter
  • Provide you with the service and information you asked for
  • Facilitate your donation

If you enter your details into one of our online forms, and you do not ‘send’ or ‘submit’ the form, we may contact you to see if we can help with any problems you may be experiencing with the form or our website.

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. We will keep your information only for as long as we need to in order to provide you with the service to which you have expressly consented.

We will only share your information if:

  • We are legally required to do so
  • We are working with a carefully selected partner that is carrying out work on our behalf. These partners may include mailing houses and IT specialists. The kind of work we may ask them to do includes processing, packaging, mailing and delivering purchases or magazines, sending postal mail, emails and text messages, carrying out research or analysis and processing payments. We only choose partners we can trust. We will only pass personal data to them if they have signed a contract that requires them to treat your information as carefully as we would, and only use the information for the purposes it was supplied

We will not sell, distribute, or lease your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Our website uses Google Analytics to monitor and analyse website traffic.  This helps us to understand how you use our website and find ways to improve your experience. Google Analytics tracks how you interact with our website, such as how you come to our website, which pages you visit, and how long you spend on the website.
