Beginning in April 2011, Loyola Vietnam Centre will inaugurate on an annual basis at least one medical rotation in Ho Chi Minh City for fourth year students of Loyola University Chicago’s Stritch School of Medicine. A team of three students will serve in Infectious Diseases at the Hospital of Tropical Disease and two students will serve rotations in Trauma Care at the Trauma and Orthopaed

Ricci's model of establishing friendships among Chinese and American scholars, and providing opportunities for intellectual and cultural exchange through lectures, academic conferences, and joint research and publications. The objective of the program is to promote academic collaboration through an exchange between faculty and graduate students at the three California Jesuit universities and those at selected Chinese universities.” wrote John P. Fr Gerry O’Collins (ASL) writes: The story of my 54th book, Seek God Everywhere (New York: Doubleday) seems worth telling. In late 1975 at his Sadhana Institute (near Pune), Fr Tony de Mello SJ ran a course on the Spiritual Exercises of St Ignatius for seven Jesuit priests and seven religious sisters. Two or three times a week he gave hour-long talks that were taped. Several members of the group then typed out the talks and gave the others a carbon copy. Thirty years later one of the group made his copy available to me and two American Jesuits.
CHICAGO, November 2, 2009 In October, as part of its formal partnership with the Vietnam Ministry of Education and Training, Loyola University Chicago jointly developed and conducted a University Management Training (UMT) program with Vietnam National University-Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCMC) to provide leaders of Vietnamese universities the opportunity to learn about best practices in U.S. higher education and to evaluate their applicability to the Vietnamese higher-education setting.

Fr Bob McTeigue, tertian from Maryland Province, left on November 26 for Yangon, where he will be working at the Language Institute and at the Major Seminary, until the end of March 2007, when he returns to the USA to complete his tertianship.
