On July 31, the Adhi Luhur Jesuit High School at Nabire (Papua) in cultural way celebrated Saint Ignatius day with a blessing of the Le Cocq d’Armandville chapel in its campus.
Fr Provincial Priyono Marwan presided the Eucharist in the beautiful 300-seat chapel. Fr Le Cocq d’Armandville SJ died in Papua in 1896 (www.usd.ac.id/adhiluhur/Kolese.html).
The seven new priests, who were ordained on July 26 in Yogyakarta, started carrying out their respective missions last August 1 in Sanata Dharma University (Yogyakarta), Gonzaga High School and Jakarta Minor Seminary (Jakarta), Stanislaus Novitiate and Emmaus Infirmary (Girisonta, Central Java), and four parishes (Cathedral/Jakarta, Block Q/Jakarta, Cililitan/Jakarta, and Bongsari/Semarang).
Driyarkara School of Philosophy at Jakarta began 2007-2008 academic year on August 20 with two Jesuit faculty members who just finished their doctorate studies: Fr Agus Rukiyanto from Weston School of Theology and Fr Setyo Wibowo from Paris I – Panthéon Sorbonne University (in Philosophy).
