Collaboration in a digital world

Categories: Education

Jesuit Commons is an initiative spearheaded by Mr Chris Lowney, author of the books "Heroic Leadership" and "Heroic Living". It was presented at the International Conference on Jesuit Higher Education in Mexico last April 22 – 24. Mr Lowney personally invites Jesuits and lay partners to be a part of Jesuit Commons.

"I want to invite your participation in an ambitious new initiative called the Jesuit Commons. As you know, Jesuits and their lay partners administer thousands of schools and institutions that serve millions of persons in more than 100 countries. We are privileged to be part of an extraordinary global network; the Jesuit Commons aims to tap our collaborative potential in ways that will benefit developing world communities. As a first step, a just-launched web site will enable members of the global Jesuit network to understand each other's work, launch collaborative efforts, and support projects that benefit poor communities.

I encourage you to visit http://www.jesuitcommons.org  and register yourself on the site. Explore the site's networks and consider launching a network of your own: the Jesuit Commons will thrive if enough of us invest imagination, provide content, and spur its early momentum. Any feedback or questions about the site would be welcomed by Chris Lowney, president of the Jesuit Commons: mailto:chrislowney@jesuitcommons.org”   – Chris Lowney
