JRS Cambodia has made available in its website a document containing the results of its research on victim assistance in 34 countries with significant numbers of survivors of landmine, cluster munitions and Explosive Remnants of War.
Entitled SNAPSHOT, the document names some of the indicators of the complex reality of victim assistance. It also indicates some of the structures that have been put in place in compliance with the Mine Ban Treaty, Convention on Cluster Munitions and the Cartagena Action Plan.
JRS Cambodia is also asking that people in the 34 countries join in and promote dialogue on this subject to encourage the countries to ensure the needs of their “victims” are met. To contribute to the dialogue, email cambanlmcm@gmail.com.
