The Beijing Center for Chinese Studies (TBC) has relocated to a new site in Beijing’s embassy district. The new location represents not only an upgrade in its physical space but also an extension of TBC’s vision to foster greater collaboration and innovation in research, education, and cultural understanding.
New and long-time friends gathered to celebrate the grand opening on 24 November. TBC Executive Director Dr Simon Koo expressed heartfelt gratitude to guests, reflecting on TBC’s journey and growth over the years and highlighted the centre’s important role as a bridge for cultural exchange between China and the West.
Guests were given a tour of the modern offices, functional areas, and communal spaces. They also explored the library, which boasts the largest collection of books in English on China in Mainland China. From thoughtful design details to the stories embedded in the collections, every element reflects the fusion and dialogue between Chinese and Western cultures.
With its new campus, TBC looks forward to working hand in hand with partners from all walks of life in expanding the path of cultural exchange across East and West.
