Parish work for Fr Philip Heng

Fr. Philip Heng (MAS) will assume the post of Parish Priest of the Church of St. Ignatius, King’s Road, Singapore. This appointment had been accepted by His Grace the Archbishop of Singapore, Nicholas Chia, upon the recommendation of Fr Larry Tan.

Fr Philip Heng will take over from Fr Leslie Raj, whose health is of major concern to us as he is suffering from a chronic stomach problem, which requires constant medical monitoring and attention. Please continue to pray for him.

Fr Philip will go for a 3-month sabbatical before he begins his new post on April 1, 2009. The installation of the new Parish Priest is on April 22, the feast of Our Lady of the Society at the Church of St. Ignatius, Singapore. His Grace, Archbishop Nicholas Chia, has been invited to grace the occasion.

Fr Philip serves as a Consultant to the JCEAO President. Previously working with Fr Ismael Zuloaga and Fr Adolfo Nicolás, he continues as such with Fr Mark Raper.
