Fr. Richard Leonard (ASL), Director of the Australian Catholic Film Office and the Catholic Church Television, came to Hong Kong on November 12-18 and conducted a one-week program on Mass Media and Ignatian Spirituality. The theme was How Can Christians Have Faith in a Media Saturated Culture? It broke into few sessions during the week, namely, What is The Media Telling Us About Ourselves?, The Gospel According to The Da Vince Code -What can we do about the media in our Evangelization?, and Finding God in the Dark: Media, Faith & Ignatian Spirituality Today. Fr. Richard’s input and stories were very lively and inspiring, and the participants showed a lot of interests and appreciation on those important topics. This kind of cooperation, sharing our common resources and talents, was a very meaningful event within the Assistancy. May there be more experiences like this.
Hong Kong gains from Fr Leonard’s visit
