Meet the tertians

(Part two of a four-part series on the tertians of the 2018-2019 Asia Pacific Tertianship programme)

From all over the world, eight Jesuits have gathered in the Philippines for the Asia Pacific Tertianship from September 2018 to March 2019. Please pray for the tertians as they take this “exercise of obtaining love”.

Fr Ivan Manduric (Croatia)

From the Croatian Province, Fr Ivan Manduric entered the Society of Jesus in 1999 and was ordained in Zagreb in 2009. He was a student chaplain for seven years.

“I am most happy to be able to devote a thorough analysis of my priestly work to the spiritual atmosphere. Also, I am very pleased to be able to dedicate myself to listening where God still calls and needs me,” Fr Ivan shared.

Post-tertianship, Fr Manduric hopes to bring with him several things: “I expect to learn more clearly the will of God. I also hope and ask that I will be more prepared to follow it. I expect to be able to be a director of spiritual exercises. I expect to learn more about the charisma of the Society of Jesus and the founder, St Ignatius. I also expect to learn to know what the charisma of the Society of Jesus should mean today.”

Fr Sigit Prasadja (Indonesia)

From the Indonesian Province, Fr Sigit Prasadja entered the Society of Jesus in 2000 and was ordained in 2010. He has been working for the last three years in the Social Apostolate for the Archdiocese of Jakarta.

“Intimacy with God through the way of proceeding of the Society of Jesus,” shared Fr Sigit is what he is looking forward to during tertianship. After, he hopes to bring with him “God’s love who wants to make our world better, and the better way of life to serve the people and the Church.”
