Two Jesuits from Myanmar, Fr Titus Tin Maung and Fr Wilbert Mireh, pronounced their Final Vows in the Society of Jesus during a Mass at the Maria della Strada Jesuit Novitiate in Taunggyi on 10 October. Myanmar Jesuit Superior Fr Girish Santiago received their vows on behalf of Fr General Arturo Sosa.
The event was witnessed by their fellow Jesuits, collaborators, Charity sisters, and family members of both Fr Titus and Fr Wilbert.
With Fr Titus and Fr Wilbert professing their Final Vows, the Society of Jesus now has three fully professed Jesuits from Myanmar. We thank God for the gift of vocations in this young Jesuit region and pray they “may live in a manner worthy of the call [they] have received, with all humility and gentleness…” [Eph 4:1-2].
