With the support of the Australian Catholic community, Jesuit Mission Australia supported more than 367,000 people across 13 countries in 2025, according to its latest Gratitude Report, working alongside Jesuit partners to deliver 70 projects supporting vulnerable children, women, and men.

Throughout the year, Jesuit Mission supporters and partners delivered life-saving assistance in emergencies and humanitarian crises, while sustaining long-term programmes for communities facing poverty and displacement.

“During a year shaped by ongoing conflict and uncertainty, including in Ukraine, Syria, Lebanon, and Myanmar, your support has been a powerful expression of solidarity,” said Helen Forde, CEO of Jesuit Mission Australia.

“This work is about creating opportunities for people to learn, to rebuild and to move forward with dignity, even in the most challenging circumstances,” she said.

More than 36,000 students accessed quality education, while nearly 41,000 refugees received education, skills training, housing, and psychosocial support. More than 23,000 people gained access to safe water, sanitation, and hygiene, and 3,500 people with disabilities and their families received life‑changing support that strengthens dignity and opens new opportunities.

“As we share the stories in this Gratitude Report, we are deeply thankful for the companionship in mission that makes this work possible. Without this support, we quite simply could not deliver this life-giving work,” said Forde.

“I ask all Australians to continue holding our global family, especially those who are displaced and marginalised, in their thoughts and prayers, as we entrust them to Christ’s care,” she said.

Jesuit Mission Australia invites the community to explore the stories of hope, resilience and transformation in the 2025 Gratitude Report.
